Understanding Our Identity – A Series of Themed Services

Published September 9, 2017 by Mark Tribe in News

Dr Kevin Watson will be presenting six linked services on the last Sundays in September, October and November 2017, and in January, February and March 2018.  These will be loosely on the topic of “Understanding Our Identity”, so each will cover a different, though related subject area, and hopefully these will lead to some lively discussion over coffee after each of the services!

Session 1: Who am I and who are we?

In this session, on 24th September, we will explore what we like about being Unitarian, what we find challenging about it, and introduce the theme of the series of sessions, which is “Living in Community”.

Session 2: What is worship for?

This session will take place on 29th October, where we think about what we mean by worship (broadest possible definitions), share experiences of those transformative moments that we may have in life, and consider what collective worship does that individual worship might not.

There will be a reminder in the October Newsletter about Session 2, plus details of Session 3, which will be on Sunday 26th November.  And for those of you who would like to put all the dates in your diaries so you don’t miss out, the sessions next year will be on 28th January, 25th February and 25th March.
